Cherie Adams-Ndlovu, MS, APC, NCC, CAADC is a professional counselor with a strong desire to help individuals achieve growth in all areas of their lives. She walks along side each client helping them to utilize their natural tools to create the life that they want to live free from intrusive and unhelpful thought patterns and unwanted and unhealthy behaviors. Cherie is committed to discovering each client’s unique strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences to create a therapeutic environment tailored to each individual. Cherie has 7 years of experience in the mental health field and has worked in a variety of settings including: inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, in-home, and residential. She has experience working with individuals of all ages and presenting problems.
Cherie graduated from the University of Alabama – Birmingham in 2012 with a BS in Psychology and Indiana University in 2015 with a MS in Counseling and Counselor Education. Since graduating, Cherie completes monthly continuing education trainings and annual conferences to stay knowledgeable of current practices in order to be as effective as possible. She has received specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing and is committed to finding the right combination of techniques and approaches to fit the needs of each client.
Cherie has been recognized by the National Board for Certified Counselors as a Nationally Certified Counselor and has been honored to serve on the executive board of the American Counseling Association – Georgia Branch since 2018. Cherie has also completed the necessary training, supervision, and practice to become a Certified Advanced Alcohol & Drug Counselor both with the state of Georgia and internationally.
